3. White Rice, Bread, and Flour
Foods that don’t really taste sugary can also split down into sugar in your body. This is absolutely the problem with processed starches. Items like white flour are refined so heavily that all of the original minerals, vitamins, and fiber are taken away, leaving a product that is digested instantly, transmitting to your bloodstream like a ton of bricks.
It is advised to maintain a distance from items like pasta, white bread, and white rice. Whole grains like wild rice or brown rice, bread, and pasta are better alternatives. Overeating carbohydrates of any kind is harmful too, but you can have a normal serving of these whole-grain items without spiking your blood sugar levels.
