Our body requires a certain amount of water to function properly. Parents always find it difficult to get their kids to drink enough water. Dehydration is caused by not drinking enough and is a serious issue.
You may get dehydrated because of not drinking enough, too much exercise without rehydrating or even vomiting or diarrhea.
You might find your child to be regularly irritated or lethargic, have a headache, dry skin and lips, not be able to urinate or even have no tears when crying. This is when you need to call the doctor and meanwhile get your kid to drink something, preferably water.
