7. Tyrosine, Phenylalanine, and Dopamine

Dopamine

Dopamine is a hormone that controls your brain’s pleasure center and your body uses an amino acid called Tyrosine to create it. Therefore, a link between low levels of tyrosine and depression is a possibility.
