6. Fermented Foods and Probiotics
Your gut has a direct link to your brain (and visa versa), and most of us who have had an upset stomach knows this. Serotonin which we have already discussed is a mood-boosting hormone, is produced in the gut. A healthy gut creates lots of serotonin. The good bacteria, yeasts and other probiotics commonly found in fermented foods may fight depression and anxiety.
You can try fermented foods like pickled vegetables, kefir, kimchi, sauerkraut, pickles, kombucha, tempeh, miso, natto, soft goat milk, sheep milk cheeses, and Greek yogurt.
