Broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, and kale are cruciferous vegetables. Keeping aside their reputation for causing gas issues during digestion, they are quite rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber which are all known to help reduce inflammation.

Sulforaphane is the form of antioxidant that is found in large quantities in cruciferous veggies. This particular antioxidant has been know to block a particular enzyme responsible for joint pain and inflammation. Try to include a minimum of  ½ a cup of cruciferous vegetables daily.
